How to eat well in Bellagio
The village is also one of the few places on the lake where you can eat well late. Most of the western shore stops serving early; Bellagio does not, entirely.
We keep a short standing list for members, with the name, the number and the person to ask for. It is deliberately not published, because the places on it are small and the whole value of the list is that it stays workable.
For the village itself, its character, its property market and how to get there, read our guide to Bellagio.

Dining in Bellagio: questions
Is Bellagio better than Varenna?
They answer different questions. Bellagio is larger, better connected by boat and has more to do on foot; Varenna is smaller, quieter, and is the one with a railway station.
If you will arrive by train from Milan and want somewhere calm, Varenna is the easier life. If you want a village with year-round services, restaurants that stay open and the whole ferry network on your doorstep, Bellagio is the stronger base. Buyers frequently look at both and choose on aspect and light rather than on the villages themselves.
Do houses in Bellagio come with parking?
Most houses in the historic core do not. Parking is limited, controlled, and frequently some distance from the door.
Anything on the stepped lanes will be without parking entirely. Terraced houses above the village usually have it. If a car matters to you, treat parking as a search criterion rather than something to solve later. It cannot be created.
