01What this is
A room, nota mailing list.
Lake Como has always had a network. This is the first time it has been written down. Members give their name, where they are based, what they do and a few lines about themselves. That is the whole profile, and it is visible to other members and to nobody else. Not to the public, and not to a search engine.
A short list of names
People who live near the lake, and people who love it. What they do, and where they are. Not a search engine for people.
Introductions through us
Members are introduced by the office, at both parties' agreement. Nobody's address is published to the room.
Read by a person
Every application is read by somebody here. Numbers are held low deliberately, and most of the value of that is invisible until you need it.
02Two doors
Applications are read in the order they arrive. We reply either way, usually within a few days.
