How to eat well in Cernobbio

The advantage of a town over a village is that the second register survives the winter. Cernobbio is one of the few places on this shore where you can eat properly on a wet Tuesday in November, which sounds like a small thing until you own a house that you use in November.

Como city is close enough that dinner there is an ordinary decision rather than an expedition, and that widens the range considerably. We keep a short standing list for members covering both the town and the city, with the person to ask for at each; it is not published, because its usefulness depends on the places on it staying small.

Can you keep a boat at Cernobbio?

Private moorings here are attached to the waterfront villas and are scarce otherwise, as they are along the whole of this shore.

If a boat is central to how you will use the house, treat water access as a search criterion rather than something to arrange afterwards. Riparian arrangements and existing structures on the water cannot be created retrospectively, and the southern basin's berth supply is tight in season.
